Stop What You’re Doing and Patch the Windows Bug That Took Microsoft 17 Years

Interesting Windows update before or after the recent Twitter attack on the big celebrities…

Stop what you’re doing, format your drive and install Linux.

Even better. Don’t wait 17 years any more.

I wish, but how many companies use Linux on their computers?
We can do that on personal computers though

Thats true.
But do it on your private device.
There are some LINUXers who really dislike Windows, I dont, I used it for many years.
Had to play around with all OS (UNIX too, therefore I like cryptic command lines )
But now is no more need to use, so bye bye windows for ever.
For traveling I got an elder SAMSUNG Tab A.
So I am “up to date”

I’ve tried Linux and liked it. But many of the apps that I need are made for iOS or Android only.
I agree with office suit and all that, but these are the specific apps which are not available in Linux. Too bad I cannot use the web browser instead of some apps.

The apps!

The only app I need (I could do it by normal post also) is to file my bills to the health insurance.
(taking a photo) I use my SAMSUNG Tab A.

Other apps? Dont need. I am too old styled I know!
(but still alive with no apps! :joy:)

Now they made it hard to survive without an App. There is an App for everything :joy:

Is there an App for “survival”?
Never heard from! :rofl::rofl:

You can run Android on Linux in a VM. A form of that using containers is how a Chromebook does it.

Most functions can be done in a Chrome browser. The only application I required which was tied to Windows was Visio, I rarely used it.

I use Linux on a Thinkpad, having purged Windows from it, and Android. I keep a Windows VM for the rare, and getting rarer, situations it has to be Windows. For example the method to upgrade the firmware on a Soundcore.

The poignant question to an IT security dept is: why are you tying the business security to one OS with a record of large security holes? Android is not perfect, no OS is, but if you can’t run your business on a platform-agnostic basis then how do you take back control of your security? If you do not control a situation, the situation controls you.

Thats it.
My wife runs a WIN10 PC so I can do, but there are never any need.

Another 0day bites the dust :frowning:
