Soundcore server down?

Seems the soundcore server is totally down.
Hop this eas not the result of a “repair” the issues.
Hope they got that fixed.

Franz, most sites now are virtual machines, Anker uses AWS.

Most sites use 3 tiers, of web + app + DB.

A good admin will have the web on autoscale group so as user load increases, more VM web servers are added, and then removed in quiet times. This is non-disruptive.

A good admin will have a high availability HA app layer, and manually change the specs of these, bringing one side of the HA down. So non-disruptive but usually done during quiet times. Best practice is to do planned outage, but the above Web servers show a static page showing an outage statement with time for return.

A good admin will eventually need to upgrade the DB server, this is an outage. Normally you put the site into a read-only mode, upgrade, read-write mode. The web servers would show a planned outage statement, and you’d notify users in advance.

So the only reason for site not responding is not having a good admin.

Personally I’m a big fan of planned outages and notify users, rather than ignore the service and wait for it to crash and then fix while users lose confidence.

Works now, but there is no improvement.
Its not possible to log in.

I think what tripped up was when they added the Soundcore site to the Soundcore app, so everyone who uses the app causes some site traffic. I disabled it.

This is an aspect I wasn’t thinking of.
Have no app, dont need app.

All three communities have been flakey for the past few days (worst being yesterday). Apparently the IT guys are looking into the issues but Soundcore and Eufy seem to be having the worst of it so far…

I know the reason Neil.
We, the loney few here are not causing so much traffic! :joy:

I’m waiting for their earbuds to be playing the sounds from an Eufy camera in Australia.

I’m getting big problems here too, either 500 or 504 errors either when opening the app or liking a post.

And also very slow to add a reply to a post.
This screen has become a new “feature” for me when replying. Note the post looking faint while it’s updating.

Yes this all looks like the DB server is just slow, under-powered for the load placed. DB does update and then the reverse proxy receives and caches. Same basic issue as before.

Remembers me on the very old days.
WWW = world wide waiting.

It seems to have moments where it works fine and others where you can’t even reach the site. Also noticed a bunch of accidental double posts as a result of all this

They need to fix this site

They need quality software engineers and designers https://mlsdev.com/services/ui-ux-design. Custom software development company develops custom application from scratch using the latest technologies, frameworks for best results. It takes care of all the required programming interfaces and integration processes and provides the necessary support to accomplish project goals in a timely manner. The custom software development company keeps in mind the requirement and work flow of the organizations for successful deployment of solutions. It takes full responsibility of delivering project success with the appropriate time and cost overruns.

I had an internal error on the Anker site and a 502 bad gateway error for Soundcore so seems like both sites still struggling

This morning it was OK here over the pond.
But you know Kaitlyn, the more traffic the more “bottlenecks”.
