SoundCore Pro Bluetooth speaker doesn't charge

I own the SoundCore Pro and used it happily with the initial charge for a few days

I’ve used it for a few hours and the battery went dead (no issues thus far).
Light is blinking, which means <5%.

I tried to charge it for several days trying out different charging cables and different standard Android Phones 2V chargers. The result is that the bluetooth speaker never stopped blinking and keeps complaining (plays a sound) that it needs to be charged.

I’ve waited a few nights (20+ hours total) so I gave it quite some time.

Am I doing something wrong in charging a device (I’ve charge multiple devices with these chargers… it shouldn’t be complicated) ? or is the device faulty?

Hi @1112155 , from your description and that you have tried multiple cables/chargers for several hours it does sound like your unit may have an issue. It should take 4-6 hours to charge the Pro using a 5V/2A wall charger, you mentioned 2V wall charger, can you confirm you meant 2A and not 2V which would take much longer?

I’ve removed your serial no from your original post to prevent others being able to claim on your device serial. I would advise if you have used a 5V/2A wall charger and several cables to reach out to support@anker.com with your serial, purchase date and troubleshooting steps taken so far, so that they can assist your under your 18 month warranty (if purchased from an authorized seller).

Yes, 2A  My mistake. It’s, too early in the morning for me.

5V / 2A chargers is, what I meant

You mentioned having tried several chargers, but what about cables? Not all cables are made the same and even still they do tend to go bad especially the micro usb cables. So I recommend swapping cables, yes even the included cable can be bad. ’

Thanks for the suggestion, Elmo, but I’ve clearly written I’ve swapped cables and chargers.
Any other ideas?

UPDATE:
I’ve decided to give it a go and see if the blinking light is wrong and the device has charged … it played for 3 minutes and completely went dark

Outside of having a meter connected to see what the speaker is drawing power wise, not certain you can do much more on the testing front (apart from a different wall socket but I’m guessing other items work from the socket in question). I would go the email route to support@anker.com as mentioned above.
