SoundCore mini | Sort order from SD chip

Hi All,

I was unable to find out what controls the order in which the SoundCore plays the titles form the SD chip. It seems neither to be the name nor the change date of the file ???

Any help is highly appreciated since this one is used as story teller for the small one and she in the meantime changes to longer audio books.

Best,
Tobias

Another member recently asked this as well, I believe it plays songs from the SDcard alphabetically, with numerical numbers taking preferences ie 01 - All Right Now.mp3 before ‘All Right Now.mp3’.

Will test later this evening and advise.

I am quite positive it is not doing this.
Whether you name the files 101 - or 101_ or 01_ or whatever this is just ignored.
In the meantime I had a certain amount of success copying the files one by one in the correct order to the chip, whatever criterion this might be.

Cheers

Been a while since I’ve used the SD function of the SoundCore but had a mess with it just now and the play order is determined by the order that the tracks are copied to your SD card.

As a test I made two folders on the card, album 1 and 2. Then copied track 1 to album 1, track 3 to album 2, track 2 to album 1 and so on staggered. Put the SD card in the Mini and the tracks played in the order copied to the folders. Same occurred when just copying files to the root of the SD card.

Thank you for re-testing ndalby.
One could imagine more comfortable ways of organizing files,
but knowing what it does is half the way.

Cheers,
Tobias

I confirm this. Just bought a mini and sd card songs play in the order copied to the card.
