Soundcore mini makes Apple TV lag and even freeze

I have my Soundcore mini paired with my Apple TV to get sound when streaming via a computer monitor. I noticed the streaming quality was quite poor now and then, making the signal almost unusable. I thought it was due to bad wifi, until I found out that it was the Soundcore mini causing this issue. When disconnected from the Apple TV, the stream works perfect, but as soon as I pair it again, the signal starts to lag until it freezes.

I would appreciate any help on this.

Looks like your Apple TV has an antennae problem.

  • ensure your Wifi router has a separate 5Ghz Wifi SSID
  • connect your Apple TV to the 5Ghz Wifi SSID
  • try again with the Soundcore Mini

This separates the 2.4Ghz bluetooth from Wifi, forcing Wifi from 2.4Ghz to 5Ghz, so they can’t interfere.
