Soundcore Life P2 microphone function not working on Windows 10

I have just bought a pair of Soundcore Life P2, and while they work fine with my Android, the main reason to get them was was webex calls on the wi10 laptop, and that doesn’t recognise the microphone as BT connected (troubleshooter suggests it s not properly connected to jack). I saw some forum suggesting to make sure to select soundcore heaset rather than headphones in sound settings but headphones is the only option, no headset option exists. Any idea how to resolve or should i return them?

Key is to get Windows 10 to get to recognize Life P2 as headset and headphones. Microphones are not shown for headphone mode.

I would recommend you to update the Bluetooth Drivers for your laptop (go to the maker’s site - HP, Dell, Lenovo)

Also, remove the Bluetooth pairing from Windows 10 completely, and re-Pair it.

Do write to Soundcore Support here at Service@Soundcore.com to get further support.

Thanks for the suggestion Shenoy, I ll try upgrading/updating bluetooth on the laptop (already removed and repaired the P2s so many times). I also installed eartrumet earlier and if I select windows legacy in that I can see Headset listings for both P2 and P2L, they are showing as enabled in properties (along with P2 headphones selected as current, + the default conexant built-in hw, but it’s not letting me connect those P2 headset options.

We are sorry to hear your Soundcore Life P2 headphones are not working properly with your Win 10 PC. According to the information you described, the issue you are experiencing is very unusual.

In order to further assist you, could you please contact us at service@soundcore.com by detailing your order number and the problem you come across? We will reply you within 24 hours.

To add to this, I actually still have an older win10 company laptop, and after testing it works fine on that. As both are both are receiving the same company image and policies, it shouldn’t be a settings issue, I just have to figure out what’s blocking it on the newer laptop. (or ask desktop support when the offices are open again!!)

@fgumez thanks for the details. some respite to know the Life P2 work on the old laptop :+1:

Are both the old and new - Windows 10 laptop form same Make / Model … and are these on same windows update level / patching?

I’m having the same issue, anyone find a fix for this?

I also can confirm that the P2 buds work on another PC running Win10 just fine. I updated the BT drivers of laptop with the issue and it still persists. I even have a pair of Aukey buds that work fine on the laptop in question. The P2’s are so much more comfortable, I’d really hope there is a fix to this.

I called Anker support and they said they have seen this issue before and there is no fix. I find that hard to accept, but will return the P2 if it is true. Appreciate any help.
