Soundcore Liberty Pro 2 won't play music off of my Macbook air

I bought some Anker Souncore Liberty 2 Pros truly wireless earphones. I’ve noticed on and off that sometimes when I connect my LIberty 2 Pros to my Macbook air and try to play music all I get is really choppy sound bits like when you try to play a badly scratched CD. So all I hear are little bleeps of sound. My macbook is currently running on macOS Sierra version 10.12.6. Please help! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you get this behaviour on the MacBook Air only, or any device?

From the description it sounds like a corrupt pairing profile but trying on another device such as your phone would be good to confirm.

If it is just the MacBook Air, remove your pairing and try a fresh one to start with. Should it still continue you could try a BT module reset using the following method;

  • Hold Shift+Option and click on the Bluetooth menu in the Mac menu bar.
  • Click Debug and select Remove all devices.
  • Click Debug again and select Reset the Bluetooth module.
  • Restart Mac device
  • Repair each of your Bluetooth devices.

Also, make sure your LP2s have been updated to their latest version. This is very easy to do if you have the Soundcore app on your phone and the LP2s are paired to your phone as well.

Woooohh!! I found how to fix it! After connection to mackbook all You need just to switch in sound menu out (microphone) from liberty 2 pro to built-in microphone, and macbook will use your liberty like a “headphones”, no microphone. Just enjoy great sound=)
