Best of luck!

With most truly wireless earbuds (AirPods included), only one mic works at a time, so this is expected behavior. As far as I know, the “Hands Free Profile” (utilized for phone calls) currently supported on smartphones only supports monaural (non-stereo) sound.

I have the same issue, just one of them is working during calls. It supposes to be working the 4 microphones together… I dont know if this was the same always, or something changed after firmware upgrade… I just noticed …

Not a fault, deliberate design.

If you take the right/left first out, it becomes the master and the left/right is slave.

For sound with BT 5 both buds get the left / right channel. BT 4 the master forwards the other channel to the slave.

During calls only 1 microphone from the master is used, the other 3 microphones are only to detect and reduce other sounds. Your voice is in the middle between the two buds and so sound not from the middle is not your voice and eliminated, so sound from either side is eliminated, the microphone further from voice eliminated. So it takes 4 microphones to spatially focus on voice but only one microphone transmitted to the mono call.

As the master does more work, it’s battery dies faster, so you should alternate the master by taking the left bud out first every other time.

If you alternate between left/right master right/left slave, you’ll find only the front left/right microphone is the source of transmitted sound. If you had an actual failed microphone you’d find one of left/right master failed.

Your brain does exactly the same. Both ears hear a voice, you spatially eliminate sound other than what you point your head at, you move your head slightly left/right to infer sound in front or behind but actually only one ear is the source transmitted for further processing. You can tell this as you’ll find if you use just one earbud you’d typically prefer one ear over the other to listen to voice, typically the right ear.

Thanks, I used voice recoder app in my phone to check that feature( the others mics canceling the noise ) but it sounds normal, I mean there is no change taking one earbud or leaving it during a call… for me is that earbud 2 is not doing nothing, even canceling the noise… maybe thats works when you are listening music…
