SoundCore Boost Bluetooth Speaker built in microphone

Dear all, i am planing to buy this speakers but i am interested if they OK for hands-free and how about microphone inside? Is it hear OK from 4 meters distance? I could not find any review for hands-free functionality. Thanks in advance.

@Dacarica_dacar I’ve had mine for a few months now and love it. It works well and is loud. I’m not a big fan of the hands free side of it. you can easily hear the person on the other end but the mic itself is ok. If you are planning to use the speaker as a speaker phone it should work from about 3 to 4 meters if you have it all the way up. But I don’t know how well the mic will work at that distances. Plus you need to be in doors. It will pick up surrounding noise. As to music its loud. I can hear a few rooms away.

I also own a SoundCore mini, it works loudly too, so I think it’s possible to hear from 4 meters distance.:grin:

I’ve ordered one of these and am planning on doing a review…I’ll try remember to update this thread with my findings.

I’m particularly interested in the hands free function, this will be the first speaker I’ve owned with that functionality built in.

Hi, received my SoundCore boost on Wednesday and managed to test it out on a few calls (normal and whatsapp). Unfortunately it’s pretty much useless for this functionality due to the built in mic. People just can’t hear you properly and switching back to my phone mic solved the issue. I was only sat a foot away from the speaker

I’m not sure if I received a unit with a faulty mic but I won’t really use it for calls that much so it’s not worth me returning it.

As a bluetooth speaker for music though it’s amazing. Great sound.

The SoundCore boost has built-in microphone that can be used to talk, but the effect certainly not as good as the call directly through your phone.

As long as you complete the pairing process, your mouth from the microphone need to control the distance within 60 cm.
