Soundcore Anker Liberty Air 2 Left Ear Independently

So I picked up some Liberty Air 2’s at Best Buy, so far I love them! But one thing I’ve noticed, and it happens to me with any ear buds, is I like to alternate single ear use while at the office, for a comfort issue. Whenever I keep the right ear bud in my ear and put the left ear bud into the case it goes into single use mode, but when I put the right one in the case and keep the left one in my ear, it turns both off completely. How can I use just the left ear, if possible? Again, these are the Liberty Air 2, not the original Liberty Air’s.

This is typical of many truly wireless earbuds. The right ear is the “brains” of the pair of them and the left cannot function independently from the right. This has been the case with each of the truly wireless earbuds that have been produced from Anker/Soundcore/Zolo.

The liberty air 2 is and can be used independently.
To do so you need to pair each earbud to your phones bluetooth profile individually

@thetonyclay soundcore has several pairs of earbuds that support mono mode now…

How would I go about doing it independently though? For instance my Bluetooth settings just say Liberty Air 2, can’t seem to get the left one by itself found.

Hold the power off button on both until they power down, right and left, then power on the left ear bud by itself.

You should see the left ear bud show up as Liberty Air 2 L, or something like that.

To get back into stereo mode, IDK if it just works by powering back on the right one, but I usually power down the left one, then power on the right, then power back on the left, to make sure it actually goes back to normal.

It actually works pretty good. Good on Anker.

These work great for listening to podcasts and audio books.

What I ended up doing after some messing around, is I just forgot the device (the earbuds) in my Bluetooth settings, and then held the power button on the case for 10 seconds, resetting the headphones. Then when reconnecting, both the Liberty Air 2 and Liberty Air 2 L showed up on Bluetooth and connected to both. Now, whichever I take out of the case, left or right, it connects in single mode, and if I take the other out it automatically connects and goes to stereo mode, and back to single if I put any of them in. Good job on Anker doing that, it is really nice being able to switch back and forth whenever I want, all wirelessly.

I know right!

I was worried whether or not I could tell you how to recreate how mine work, which is like you said; I can take and put them back into the case and it goes to and from mono and stereo, seamlessly.

I never expected them to work that intuitively! Now I just have to get this hiss sound sorted out.
