Soundcore 2 Blueetooth problems

Hello all.

After 8 months, my Soundcore 2 has started having issues and I don’t know how to solve them.
What happens is, I start my Soundcore 2 and I’m able to pair it with my phone or my computer, but after some seconds (it’s random, sometimes a bit more, sometimes less) it disconnects from the device and blue light starts flashing. I’m not able to pair it again with the device, and I can’t forget the device paired because the Bluetooth button does not work, I can’t turn off the speaker because the power button also is not working (besides doing a hard reset), the only one that does something is the volume plus, and the speaks says “Version 053”.

This behaviour is random as i was able to connect normally a couple of times, but even then, after sometime it goes back to the same problem.

Can anyone help me trying to solve this? Because if I cant will be forced to return this.

Really strange and weird, because its a kind of random issue.

I would contact the support.

@Pedro_M_Melim Have you recently updated the speakers firmware? If not it might be worth a shot to see if it resolves your issue.

You can also reach out to service@soundcore.com with the issue and any troubleshooting steps taken, if the upgrade fails to resolve, for further assistance or replacement under your warranty if found to hardware related.

I have the same firmware as the latest one. But I did try it and did not solve anything.
I already contacted support and tried what they asked, and it didn’t work.

What did support suggest so far?

  • Confirm the speaker is fully charged (Somehow it doesnt reach this, always solid RED LED after hours and hours)

  • Reset the speaker by holding the Volume+ and Play/Pause buttons at the same time for 5S (Tried this more than once, once i do this speaker turns off, when its back on, bt button does not work and i cant do the next step)

  • Forget all pairing records, turn off your speaker and device and turn them on, then re-connecting them to test

Amazon already as offered for me to return the speaker, so that is what eventually will happen.

Have you tried charging the speaker with a different cable and wall adapter to ensure it is getting a full charge?

If you can attempt a full charge and still get the same issues, or a full charge cannot be obtained with another cable and adapter I would either go back to support with what you have completed based off their response, the result and a request for replacement.

As you are also within the first year of owning, place of purchase should also refund and/or replace.

That advice is similar to what I’d suggest, but I’d be more brutal with resetting everything, particularly the PC.

Delete all the pairings on everything ever paired.
Turn off the Bluetooth on everything ever paired.
Reset the speaker.
Turn on the phone Bluetooth and pair speaker with phone (only, nothing else).

See if that fixes it.

If problem still there then it’s for sure a warranty issue.

If the problem goes away, then, turn on the PC Bluetooth, but don’t pair with PC, see if the problem reappears. If still no problems, then disconnect the phone, speaker in pairing mode then Paired with PC.

What can happen is the PC tries to connect to anything it was paired with, the deleting of pairing doesn’t happen and the speaker ends up connected to two things at once.

Is it still under warranty? If so get it exchanged
