Soundbud Surge lack of functionality on Android Pie

Since my Pixel 1st gen updated to Android Pie I am experiencing issues with my Soundbud Surge headphones.

Pressing the up volume button turns the volume down, and today I discovered I couldn’t hear calls with them.

Any plans for a firmware upgrade? Or does anyone have a suggestion to overcome my issues?

This is one of the downsides to new updates that come out and also why google has this in beta for so long. But issues are still bound to appear and they ask that you reach out and make these issues know. You can read Here and follow the links to report your problem.
