Sound via Anker 7 in 1 USB C hub

Hi everyone

I got an Anker 7 in 1 USB C hub last november.
Up until a few weeks ago, when I plugged a HDMI cable into it, it would also transmit sound.
All of a sudden it stopped.
For the life of me, I can’t seem to figure out how to fix it.

Can anyone help?

It is probably your sound settings. Windows? Plug in hub , hdmi, then go to sound settings and make sure its to your external speaker.

There is no other option I can select in the sound menu. Only the standard speakers on my laptop.
I can select the right option when I plug the HDMI straight into my laptop.

@Simon_De_Beul Do you have another HDMI lead you can test to rule out a cable fault?

If I plug the HDMI into my laptop it does work. Then I do get sound.
So I guess it is not the HDMI cable.

But for convenience I would like it to work via the hub, so I only have to plug in one cable.
