Searching for way to order new charge block and cable for my powercore 20000

I have an early model…a1272… of powercore 00 with quick charge 3.0.
I need to buy charge blocks and cables to support quick charge.
I don’t know what to look for.
I tried searching for this model but the search Said no info available.
Can someone help?
Charging takes so long right now it is painful.

Buy what Anker calls IQ2.

Thank you. How long do other owners find the 20000 takes to charge to filled capacity?

There are many types of 20000.

If you get one which is charged from 5V 2A 10W then you’re looking at about 12-16 hours.
If you get one charged from QC2 18W or PD 18W then about 6-8 hours.
I think you can get ones which are around 4 hours, but these cost more.

What you bought is not sold now, it’s the predecessor to

So chances it is physically older and likely at less capacity already.

It states it is recharged in 6 hours if you use a QC3 charger.

Example QC3 charger

Any Anker USB-A to MicroB would connect this charger with your Powercore.

Thank you so much

If you have the time, draw up the items you intend to actually buy and we can do a quick sanity-check for you before ordering.

I am aware availability varies by country, I picked the USA for example to illustrate.

So if this works heres a picture of what i have…
my 20000 after 12 hrs of charging has 1 dot…

That’s IQ, not IQ2.

IQ = 10W
IQ2 = 18W

So this charger is slower. But even so after 12 hours only 1 dot, there’s something else amiss. I can think of two reasons:

  • one possible reason is your Powercore is physically old, it was stopped made years ago, and the cells degrade with age. It could have been stored badly (too hot, too cold). The cells are oxidised and highly resistant to being charged.

  • The cable may be bad try different cable.

If your Powercore is old then you should not really buy a charger for it as that may not fix the issue, try different cable. You should move to fully charged in about 10 hours I guess. It says above 20 hours, that’s for 5V 1A and your charger can do 5V 2A.

If you do buy a charger, you need IQ2. IQ2 is very similar to QC. Or buy QC3.
