Scout camps ⚜ / camping

Just wondering how many people are from the Scouting family or outdoors people have got on with some of the more powerful Anker batteries. What are they like with GPS units and how many chargers do you get before needing to recharge?

When I was a scout all I had was a map and a compass! :sob:

Used to be in Scouts, and in fact, that’s what inspired me to get my first Anker external battery. External batteries soon became essential for camping. I don’t camp anymore though.

not scouting but do a lot of outdoors and camping. I took the risky decision to move navigation to my mobile, downloading the detailed maps into the device and hike with the phone. Carry Anker battery for night recharging (Powercore 10000).

UK has OS maps pay about $3 per few square miles, e.g UK Lakes District about $15 gets the popular areas.

Works out a compact overall solution.

Back in the days, I remember when I was 13 years old and my parents send me to a scout camping. We didn’t have any gadgets, just our brain to survive. The time spend there was kind of a breach from civilization and busy cities. However, I made great memories and friends in the scout camp. I remember that we were going in the woods wearing snake boots and special uniform for hunting. Now I understand that everything was made for us to be more interesting and funny. I really loved it! In conclusion, scout camps really changed a lot because of the technology and gadgets.
