I’m guessing this phone will have mid-range specs compared to the Galaxy Fold

I’ll take a folding flip phone, as long as I can slam it shut when I argue with someone on the phone, like we did back in the day when we all had flip phones. Ah the satisfaction of slamming it shit was just perfect

Really? Try out the Fold. Before you do so, check out this video

I’ll stay away from them for a couple of years lol

Zack puts his phones through extreme test, so of course they break easily in his hands. There are numerous people who have this phone and report no issues using it still months later.

The Samsung Fold has been out for like less than a month

Its not the ‘I instantly destroyed the phone after a few hours’ but we’ll see how long term viablity is. the hinges are covered but still exposed so i can see dust stil getting in there eventally causing issues. it just wont happen like 1 week after you use it

I saw an article here in a German magazine. (chip)
They tested that Samsung fold in such a “folding machine”

falt1

“Kurz vor der 100.000. Faltung fing das Scharnier an zu knarzen, und nach rund 160.000 Faltungen ließ es sich nicht mehr reibungslos öffnen und schließen”

Just before the 100.000 folding the hinge started creaking and after 160.000 foldings it could no be opened and closed easily.

But all other functions were perfect the screen too.

The problem with that is the force and rate at which the machine closes. No respectful person would do the same and treat their phone with such force

If you close and open it 10 times a day we have 3650 a year.
So the 100.000 is a lot.

Thinking back, still one of favorite things to do with those old phone. You can slam your phone down in frustration any more…

Old flip phones reminds me. I might still have an old Motorola Razor sitting in a box in storage.

10 times a day is prob a very low ball estimate. Well for me it would be …

Don’t get fooled by the website name :joy: it’s a gambling site

True, I don’t think any of us would put a lighter directly to the screen

No way… We care our phones like babies
