Agree this will need more iterations, this one is version 2, usually version 3 is when begins to be worth considering.

  • version 1 - the engineer’s view of what people want. Gets super enthusiastic early adopters who only really criticise the worst aspects.
  • version 2 - is now based on the enthusiasts’ feedback incorportate by the engineer. With fewer flaws begins to get adopted by a few more who are more willing to be super critical.
  • version 3 - this is now based on more general users. This is when the product begins to get more reliable and the obvious flaws fixed. The sales go up as reviews less negative.
  • version 4 - with the volume of sales up, then price begins to fall

So a version 3 adopter loses money but does not regret the purchase as much as a V1 / 2 user.

I feel the tall phone becomes a tablet with the screen on the outside is likely the one to win
