Review:b Anker Quick Charge 3.0 39W Dual USB Car Charger, PowerDrive Speed 2

I am the type of person who relies on topping up phone battery in the car throughout the day.
When looking for a car charger, quick charge feature is a must because very often you need to just refill the battery in a short period of time. In reality, phone batteries doesn’t need to be at 100% all the time. Very often, you only need that extra 20 or 30% juice but within a short period of time.

I have bought multiple different Quick charge car charger including the original Anker single port QC2.0 as well as Trosmart 2 port QC 2.0 car charger. Now , I have owned the latest Anker Quick Charge 3.0 2-Port car charger, and I have to say this is by far the best quick charge car charger I have owned.

Physical design:
The Anker QC 3.0 2-port charger is very small. It’s about the same size as the Tronsmart 2-port QC charger. It fits my car’s cigarette lighter without obstructing anything.
On the side, it has a nice carbon pattern that adds a sporty feel to it.
The blue LED lights up when there is power and look very nice at night.

Performance
I only have QC 2.0 equipments so I cannot test QC 3.0 capability. But using my Galaxy Note Edge and Note 4 (both QC 2.0 compatible), the charge voltage measured at 9V to 9.1V.
The charging speed is very fast. And with both port connected to devices, there is no disruption of degradation of charging .

Compared to Tronsmart 2-port QC2.0, the Anker QC 3.0 charges at a slightly higher voltage at 9.1V compare to Tronsmart’s 8.9V using the same cables and devices.

The size, convenience of charging two devices concurrently and the fast charging speed makes this the top choice for a car charger.
