Redbull soapbox 2019

Is anyone going to a redbull soapbox race this year, or been previously?

I’ve seen on TV and think they’re brilliant.

This year thanks to sponsorship.from redbull, we are going to the London race on July 7th.

I have only seen the race in TV, I strongly suggest to build one with a Anker PowerCore shape :joy: by the way congrats I hope you have a great time.

I would love to see it in person. I constantly see clips from it and it looks like it would be an awesome day to spectate. We had the Red Bull Air Race in Detroit before and while it was awesome to see the planes doing the maneuvers, after the 10th plane it got kind of redundant. We never really get spoiled with sports like that, outside of an F1 event on Belle Isle (which the company that purchased the one I work for is the named company so free tickets galore for us) and jet boat races, but I want something a little more fun lol.

Yeah, it’s a reasonable expensive event to go (normally) that we couldn’t normally afford to go to, but enjoy like hell watching it on TV.

Obvs the crashes are nothing.like NASCAR, but they’re fun to watch. Obvs soapbox aren’t as noisy or as many bits! In fact some of the slow-mo crashes are better to watch, there’s something about watching something happen they no driver could
