Hello.

If I use the iOS app to mess around with the equalizer for my brand new Motion+ will the config keep when I connect the speaker to my iMac? Or is it only good for a connection via iPhone?

The EQ setting is unique to the device you are using it on, so settings used in the iOS app will not carry over to the connection made with your iMac.
