Quarantined how are you spending your time?

This is excellent. I’d say it’s the best of any of the explanations I have seen.

Explains Gluons and Quarks better than anything I heard.

If you’re mind is feeling a bit empty with the Netflix etc.

The UK news is complaining to the politicians of why Germany is so much better at testing than here.

I am still assuming I not had the bug (not immune), and assuming I am infected (don’t want to give it to anyone) but I would like to know if I actually have had it, or not, just because if I have had it then I can probably be less reticent in helping others, either physically or just keeping them company, in particular I can go visit my mother who we have kept isolated for weeks now who we been just dropping stuff off and wave from a distance.

Some people seem to making as much fun as possible.

Well I finished my recliner and its all back together…sucks cause the base is bent from the factory and it only got worse over time so it has a slight lean to the right.

As far as I go, im still sick. My head has been killing me nonstop even with taking medicine. My cough comes and goes and when its here I end up having major coughing fits. Fever hasnt returned, in fact my temperature has been on the low side so im increasing my vitamin intake even more. Hope this breaks soon because its literally dragging me down

Sorry to hear you’re still not well. For anyone who has not yet got the bug, now is the time to focus on immune response. Varied diet, plenty of fresh air exercise, sleep, keep alcohol consumption low including non-alcohol days.

When you’re already ill, vitamins pills don’t help, they possibly make things worse, as most vitamin pills are giving you more than you need, your body then has to excrete them so putting extra load on your systems (kidneys particularly).

Also be wary of trying to reduce a fever. An increased temperature is the safest response to an infection as it slows the rate of reproduction of the antigen - the bug - it also makes you feel crap but you’re a whole complex organisism with plenty of spare cells which can survive a few days of fever the bug fairs less well. High temperature for a few days gives time for the immune response to kick in, so lowering temperature early causes the illness to last longer. Lowering temperature is only for the worst excessive part when you’re close to brain over-heating and not making sense. It is a judgement call based on temperature but lowering fever in general makes a virus infection early stage worse and makes the illness last longer. As your own brain goes a bit wacko during a fever, the use of temperature lowering drugs are best decided by someone else not ill, ideally with a thermometer and bit of training.

The energy required to kill a bug consumes a lot of resources, proteins mostly, so you stock up with those in advance, in the form of muscle, with plenty of exercise. Aerobic like biking, fast walking. The heart has to work extra hard during an infection so getting it strong in advance is really a life safer.

During a fever, plenty of water because the lymphatic system works better when hydrated, it drains all the crap out of your body made during the good fight.

No!!!
Dont forget some facts!
If fever is more than 39.5C its live threatening for adults.
Children can stay.
Not being a physician you should take more care with those suggestions!

I dont have a fever, havnt had one since saturday. But what i was saying is that my temperature has been on the low side. Its hovering around 95/96 which i know isnt good. As for vitamins, its been mainly fruits and not pills. Nothing beats fresh fruit

Have you made a COVID-19 test?
Did you met a real physician? (blood tests etc)

A real diagnosis from elsewhere is not possible,
And as far I know there are NO physicians here at the forum.
If so, they NEVER would dare to tell you something without a real diagnosis.
“Doc Google” can not help,
and the same is with some general “hints”.

Tank had already seen a medical professional so the right approach has already been decided.

We agree, a thermometer is the better diagnostic tool, and that an self-diagnosed automatic reduction of a fever is not a good idea until the thermometer detected the need. Chilldren are particularly vulnerable to fever.

I had a temperature last week. A family member checked my temperature, it was not so high to require any medical attention, and I took zero medicine and woke in a sweat soaked bed and then better. I’m coughing up a few solids today. However, as that would have been due to being infected 2 weeks ago, when this virus was relatively rare where i live, it probably was not this bug. So I’m probably still vulnerable, not immune.

I’d love to be tested just so I know.

Later today I’m setting up the Nebula Max projector to learn how to use it.

Dont loose to much thoughts and panic about the COVID-19.
I dont know how old you are.
but me an old man, I dont mind.
I take care as much I can.
But I am calm

I dont know were you live now.
But to get the “bug” (as you call it) its much more possible in overcrowded cities and places.

Sorry to hear about you @Tank. Have you got tested and got the results? I pray it’s negative.
@Alex_Honnor You seem to be fighting the bug very well, keep doing that and couple more days you will be normal.

I’m still going out for work as we are considered essential business, but taking all preventive measures as much as I can.

To everyone, just follow the rules and stay safe.

Thanks @Professor for the insight and @Chiquinho for the smile on our face

@Chiquinho @Ice1 @professor I got tested on Saturday because my condition got worse and the doctors said it warranted me getting tested. I still feel like crap today, just gonna drink some tea and go back to sleel
