Should Anker become a publicly traded company like Logitech?
Public Company?
It depends how much Anker will/would change if it became a publicly traded company. I for one say no, as most companies lose its core values that they were founded on. For example customer service becomes subpar when the companies now main and usually only goal is profit profit profit. I say Anker can continue to do this on their own and should continue to do this on their own without any outside influence. Just my humble opinion.
I AGREE
No. Bad idea
Anker is better as a private company
If you google something along the lines of ā(company x) run by beancounters,ā you can find result after result of smaller companies losing what made them great after attempts to maximize profit. This happens with some car companies (take a look at some of the cars produced by Chrysler after their government bailout), smartphone companies (check out the Nextbit Robin and what happened when they were bought by Razer), and even some musical instrument manufacturers as well. By remaining private, Anker does not have to justify their customer service expenditures (which Iām sure are higher than the industry standard) to their shareholders, and they can continue to operate and move in ways that they want to. The people running Anker are running it because they are passionate about it, not because they want to maximize their ROI, and that is often (though not always) lost when a company becomes publicly traded.
