Problems with Ultra Slim 4 Port USB 3.0 Hub - Search for Solution

Hi,
I have 4 Fantec USB3 HDD Cases, each with 4 HDD 3 to 12 TB, and I connect them via the Anker Ultra Slim 4 Port USB 3.0 Hub to my Notebook (HP ZBook, Win 10). This works fine, when I am only reading the stored data, but when I start copying large data amounts from one to another HDD, I sometimes lost one of these HDDs and the copy process break. The HDD gets re- connected by the Explorer and I must restart the copy process.
May the Anker 7-Port USB Hub 3.0 with separate power can help? Has anyone another idea to connect the huge number of HDDs?

Thank you for writing to us and letting us know your concern.

It sounds like this issue is down to a lack of power output. Since the hub is not powered with via an external adapter it draws all its power from the computer’s USB port. Therefore the current cannot exceed 0.9 Amps among all the ports. To ensure a stable connection, we would suggest not using this hub with too much high power consumption devices such as large-capacity hard drives.

But do you think any of your USB 3.0 Hubs with Power Supply can help?
From the Fantec HDD Cases there is also a possibility to connect via eSata, but as you can imagine, this is the same problem to connect 4 of these HDDs Cases to only one eSata Port on the notebook …

Hi Support,
you’ve just announced the Anker PowerExpand Elite 13-in-1 Thunderbolt 3 Dock. Do you think, this may be the answer to my problems? I’ not sure, wheather the USB 3.1 Ports will be connected better, but there is still another problem: my HP ZBook doesn’t have a USB C Port …???
What should I do?
