I checked and still silly prices $89.
Price increase on Solar 21watt panels
Here we go…
Anker’s PowerPort Solar 21W has been re-listed under the Eufy seller instead of the Anker seller. We saw the same thing with Soundcore Mini 2.

Price remains at $89.99
Very interesting. So does this mean that solar panels are under the Eufy brand now?
I do not have the Anker solar panel but I have a very similar one from Choetech and I just spent 4 days off-grid, and it worked well.
I did this:
- when pitching my camp site I set up the solar panel to recharge my cellphone I had used and plug in a Powercore 10000 if its not charged. I was getting about 1% phone recharge every 3 minutes.
- I’d plug in the Powercore to the phone overnight as watching videos on my phone from inside my tent, with some Anker Soundbuds Life
- in the morning I’d wake obviously with a charged phone, and plug in the buds and the Powercore in, while I cooked and packed my camping kit, the buds would recharge but the Powercore would not.
What I found was the elapsed time I got plugged into solar was not quite enough often to get the Powercore 10000 to fully recharged, due to the trickle charge slower charging to get from 3 to all 4 lights on. But I was getting enough solar power to keep the Powercore on the 3 of 4 lights charged for 4 days so it was doing the job.
No way would I pay $90. You can do the same thing with lugging a bigger Powercore or making judicious use of wall plugs as you passed them through the trip.
Planning a much longer off-grid trip. I’m wondering how I solve the trickle charge problem, or if I need to worry, because there is a serious 10W often coming out of solar but you’re lacking sat still time. What does tell me is the math is going to be all wrong if someone simply divides mah/h and ends up basically with 85% of mAh they need. So better to size-up for solar.
