I bought a PowerDrive 2 Elite to charge my S8+ in the car and I get a message to get a real charger. doesn’t charge the phone.
I don’t really need Quick Charge 3.0 in the car. what can buy that will charge my phone without error?
I am using Anker USB-C cable.
That charger should work have you tried a different cable or blowing out any debris in your phone charge port?
Still using a type-c to type-c cable with the charger below will give you a much faster charge which is good because most car rides are short and you want to get the most charge bang for your buck as possible.
I uavethe same charger and it also doesn’t fast charge my Samsung phone, but it does charge it rather quick despite not saying fast charge enabled. However, I do believe it comes down to the cable you are using as some work better than others, and yes that includes Anker cables too.
But, as @Jesse_Hernandez1 pointed out you will get the beadt and fastest charge if you get the new power PD car charger he listed.
the PowerDrive II PD would charge S8+ faster than Quickcharge 3.0?

bump. need to get something before a long trip. fast charge not important - just need to charge 2 phones, one S7 and one S8+.
do I need to spend $30 + a USB-C to USB-C cable for my S8+? I just need it to charge.

The charger I recommended above will be your fastest charge future-proof option if you were looking for something a little cheaper this one is only 10 bucks.
the PowerDrive Elite 2 never worked out, I went another direction for a car charger.
