More chance in total if you do both as the LTT doesn’t consume PBs.
The PD drains you of PBs so harder to then win other PD / Auction later. The LTT doesn’t consume PB, so to maximize chances do LTT and be selective in the PD.

Depends on how much you value PBs. Some are pretty cheap so well worth it in my opinion. There have been a couple where someone didn’t want the item but ran the price up so Auctions are very fluid. If price crosses the threshold you set for yourself, then you can just back out and enjoy the bidding

Auctions in many ways are superior as it’s a straight exchange of known number of PBs for a known product, and you either keep the PBs or you get the product. You can make a personal decision of the value to you of the product and bid up to your max, either piecemeal or wait and bid at the end.
This PD is you give a known number of PBs away for a chance. You can bid early for an unknown chance of winning or bid late for a better known chance. So you can lose PBs and get nothing, unlike auction you lose nothing or gain an item.
Auctions and PD fight each other on a per-user basis, someone can either bid a lot in PD and so have a low PBs to then be not capable of winning an auction, or the opposite.
Most items in PD I don’t want much so my PBs are currently growing, but if something I wanted came up…
These 1 PB with >1000 entries are pretty poor odds.

It’s a great way to have a free chance at wining some top dog tech, only thing is that the website doesn’t always register that you’ve subscribed to their podcast and followed them on twitter
