PowerDraw Winner Anouncement (Weekly updates)

I noticed it was still open. Thought it was something new they were trying lol

No one I recognise won the powerdraw this week. Good luck to everyone this week!

The winners haven’t even been announced yet! May 6

You’ve been on this forum long enough to know this Josh. If you go the PowerDraw page and click to the ended drawings, and then clicked on last weeks products, it showed who the winners are. :slightly_smiling_face::upside_down_face::slightly_smiling_face::upside_down_face:

Pardon the pun
Hope youre having an amazing day @TechMan

I know when Josh looked 6 hours before you did the draw had not happened, but yes I also don’t recognize any this week either but they weren’t that compelling this week. I didn’t enter.

I missed your point there @professor

You get points for logging on to the forum everyday.

@professor at the time of Josh’s post the drawing had been done already. Not sure what you’re getting at. Anyway, that’s enough of this :slightly_smiling_face:.

I entered just for the fun of it. You and @Tank recently one with just one entry, so I’m just going for it.

Maybe the system favours those who enter lower amounts, which would explain why so many low level people win :joy:

It’s just out of luck, not always low entrants win

It was in jest, as there is an ongoing joke that low level / new members seem to be more likely to win the powerdraw

Now I am in for the torch (flashlight)
Enlightenment is needed!

It’s random. But. Once you win in each draw you are eliminated from other draws at the same time, so you can only win one thing per weekend.

As you can only win once per draw, so you in effect compete against yourself if you make multiple entries, the more so the fewer other than you enter.

Trivial example, two prizes, you bid 2 entries, the other person bids 1 entries. On the first draw your chance is 2/3. If you won 1st draw your chance of winning the 2nd draw is nil as you’re eliminated. So in total your chance is 2/3/2 so 1/3 so your chances of winning something is 1/3 which is the same as if you bid 1 entry.

So for any given total amount of Powerbucks your maximum chance of winning something is by little and often, not nothing then all-in.

Your competition with oneself goes up the greater proportion you are of total entries.

. If you win then you cannot be considered for 2nd draw, so if you lose your chance is 100% because the other guy is eliminated. So overall your chance burning 2 entries is 2/4/2 + 1/2

But @TechMan, the drawing just occurred. You could not have possibly seen it before unless you’re some kind of wizard.

I saw the winners last night when I looked, and it’s the same names shown today. Maybe I am just a wizard?

TechMan, dear wizard, will you help me to win the torch by a magic spell!
