PowerCore 20100 charging fault

Hi I have a PowerCore 20100. Only use for one long weekend camping an it now has a fault. It charges my phone for about 5mins then stops and I have to press the button to start charging again. The cable I have is an Anker iPhone cable and was purchased with the PowerCore. All the ports are clean and I have done a reset a couple of times by looping the charging cable from the input to output.

How long should I reset it for?

Are there any other things I can try before I contact support about the fault?

Are you running the beta version of iOS? Because it’s a known issue that it causes charging to stop like that when using third party accessories .

That bug was fixed a long time
Ago.

Would it be possible to test the battery with:

  • a different cable, and
  • a different device (someone else’s phone, Bluetooth speaker, etc)?

If it still exhibits the same issue, please reach out to support@anker.com and they’ll be happy to help you further!

Is this a trickle charge power bank?

If so, you maybe using too much power. The sign is it stops charging after a few minutes.

What wall charger are you using?
