Powercore 20000 recharging

Hi, can I recharge my Anker Powercore Essential 20000 PD by plugging it into the USB-C port of my Windows laptop? Thank you.

Depends on many factors.

Is there a power output at this USB-C?
Is it high enough to charge that power? bank e.c.

Simply : Try it!

@johnmorris1974 It would depend if the laptop USB-C port supports power output. If it does then yes it should charge the PowerCore however the recharge times would depend on the power output the USB-C port is capable of.

Without knowing your laptop make / model your best option as mentioned by @Chiquinho is to plug in and try it.

And pray! :rofl:

Hi, thanks for that. My laptop is a pretty new Microsoft Surface which it says supports USB Power Delivery 3.0. Is that the same thing as Power Output? I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to damage the laptop or the Anker Powercore by doing this.

I’d recommend to use a wall outlet instead. It would be much quicker :+1:

Hi @johnmorris1974 with most Surface devices I’ve come in contact with, the USB PD 3.0 would be for input charging, not output.

I would suggest investing a wall charger (unless you already have a USB-C wall charger) such as the following;
