Powerconf device missing after reboot (Linux)

Using Rasbian so that you know but on reboot or even a shutdown and power cycle until you remove the usb cable and plug in again the device is missing.

It just doesn’t turn up nothing in lsusb or dmesg.

Having to pull the usb cable each time isn’t good so anyone got any suggestions?

First idea, use another cable.
And /or clean the plugs and sockets.

I had the same probs with an USB adapter recently.
