Power User

So is Anker doing away with this program? I see that there is nothing being offered for now.

I think they are trying to figure a way around the new Amazon review rules…may take some time
I was just accepted as a power user so I am pretty sure they will have something in place soon.

I just reviewed an item last week that I got about 2 weeks ago.

Seems like they are still doing the Power User program, but the number of new items seems to have slowed down for some reason.

I got an email from marketing a week ago letting me update my preferences on what I would like to receive basically things I would need or use in my daily life. Another portion of the email said they were working on new and exciting products this year for release next year and to look forward to those items via the poweruser program. My experience has always been they slow down the freebies towards the holidays in anticipation of releasing new products in the new year.

The whole idea was so that the product could gain relevance on Amazon via reviews. Now since that’s not allowed I don’t think Anker really sees an incentive on their part to handing out free products to customers. I mean I wouldn’t be surprised if the Power User program got shuttered, but I’m glad they’re trying to keep it around one way or another for us hardcore Anker fans.

But now that Anker has begun selling via WalMart and Best Buy (Participating Locations) Their websites allow reviews as well so I do not think the program will be shuttered anytime soon.

Still plenty of ways to have reviews on Amazon such as offering discount codes for 99% of the cost or reimbursing people who have purchased the item.

I hope the power user program remains. I have only a few problems to participate in the forum - I must write many on the google translator

Looks like they will start again shortly. Had an email this morning to accept new T&C’s regarding power user reviews and how they are not required to be posted on Amazon, forum or Blog/YouTube offered as alternatives.

Amazon can still be used but you are limited to 5 non-purchased reviews per week, with regular flouting of these rules likely to result in consequences from Amazon…

Anyone else get one yet?

Yea I got the same email this morning @ndalby. After reading through Amazons new T&C’s I have a weird suspicion that Amazon may monitor product from companies it knows that gives out freebies for reviews.
I guess time will tell.

Nope all I got is a e-mail for survey for the Power User Program to improve for 2017 and a reminder to accept the review the policy that was send out in Dec 1st. Although My was send out on Nov 24th and I don’t remember if it did anything when I click on I acknowledge either.

I received the the survey as well. I am thinking that the program will pick back up after the holidays. I also received the policy acknowledgement to continue the Poweruser program. The strange thing is that when I selected the acknowledge button it just took me to my Poweruser page. I am not sure if I needed to do anything else.
