Did anyone try to charge the Nebula Mars 2 from an external battery?
I know there are some USB to DC cables out there (some with convertors to 9V or 12V). Would they work to power the video projector (and charge its internal battery)?

The issue with trying to do this is finding not only the right adapter, but you also need a batterypack that can sustain the mars power requirement, you need something like a baterypack capable of 65watts with a rated output of 19v 3A for this specific port
I think you meant 19V 3A.
19 volts at 3 amps = 57 Watts.

Your best bet is to get a power bank with an AC plug and use the stock nebula II charger.
I’m pretty sure the nebula II wall charger is two prong, in that case this AC power bank looks like a perfect match.
I have both of the following power banks. I have not needed them while watching a standard movie, but I will be bringing them for a weekend camping on an island. I have tested them both to make sure the output is adequate and they have both succeeded. I prefer the Renogy for purely allowing 12v cigar lighter output and multi-select DC voltage output, but lacks the two additional usb outputs. This can be remedied by adding a multi port usb plug to the cigar port. It is also important to note that the Renogy cannot be transported via airplane travel due to its size of battery.

Also to note is that I did like the volume of adapters that came with the MAXOAK, although I did purchase another pack of adapters for the 5.5x2.5mm tuning fork adapter and an extended 2.1x5.5mm cable.
