Icons show phone and tablet. Is there any chance that charging phone on tablet USB will damage phone? Thanks
PCore 20000 w/ QC 3.0 difference in charging ports
Do you have a link to the product you are referring to? Anker has had several PowerCore 20000s with QC3 over the past couple years.
I could probably find it but the instructions, such as they are just show the two icons with no written description. I am assuming that the tablet port is a slightly higher voltage. I recharged a phone on it and it was very fast. I am just wondering if it is too high a voltage for the phone.
No worries, it will not be too high a voltage for the phone. Anker incorporates several advanced charging technologies into their power accessories to keep your devices safe!
However, I believe the ports may be the same voltage. The tablet and phone icons are just in the manual, not on the actual unit, right?
Hi @mkslinde,
As @joshuad11 mentioned, you should be fine to plug a phone into a tablet port on the Anker PowerCore. While the tablet port will provide up to 2.4 amps at 5 volts, if your phone only requires 1 then it will only draw the 1 amp it needs.
