I have a Ring camera and 2 Eufy cameras.
Ring has software for the Mac and PC that pops up a live window when it senses movement which is handy for monitoring outside of the house when I’m at the computer without having to unlock the iPad, open the app and then wait for the live view to appear.
Any chance of a Mac app that does the same thing for the Eufy cameras?
I’m interested in the same thing - a window that can sit on my desktop. I believe that this was discussed in Kickstarter as well.
I’m in exactly the same situation. 1 Ring camera and 2 Eufy.
I got these to test to decide which was best so I could get a single brand.
They both have their pros and cons.
Eufy has been getting better with the updates. The movement sensitivity adjustment is far better than Ring cameras and the face detection is something you don’t get with Ring. You also get onsite storage so the Eufycam is faster to load up live view with no subscription.
The single missing thing that I do like about the Ring camera is the Mac application.
I’ve decided to go for Eufycams over Ring cams but I really hope a Mac app becomes available.
