I was guilty of a number of these… Thankfully throughout my university days and my field of study I learned how wrong I was.
I was guilty of all of these…then I met my wife, who suffers from depression- ptsd- anxiety- among other things and you learn quick how what you say and do can set a person off. Tone of voice is a big player in things too so you go through the motions of possibly setting then off, so you learn to embrace and acknowledge their issues and help them through it

It’s great that October is dedicated to mental health awareness! It’s an important topic that deserves attention and understanding year-round, but having a dedicated month helps raise awareness and promote conversations.
