Why am I not getting awarded points for creating topics?

I think there is a reset every 20 hours or so, that’s what happened for me at least.
You are limited to 200 points a day for creating topics (so four topics in total), beyond that you are doing nothing for your points but if they are constructive you maybe helping the community
