No Sounds

Hi to everyone, I have just purchased a Soundcore Boost 20w. I am running a Dell laptop with windows 7 prof
I downloaded the driver for win7, Bluetooth has picked it up, sadly I cannot get any sounds through speaker having tried many settings, PS I am a bit of a non tech, so be gentle !!

May be with WIN7 the same issue occurs as with WIn10,
I am out of WIN :wink:, but I would suggest to delete the bluetooth driver given by MS and download the latest driver offered by the manufacturer of the built in bluetooth card.
Have you checked the speaker working by connecting to another device eg. phone?

The original bluetooth would not work so I installed a tp-link adapter which has worked with a new echo dot ok, it has also paired up with

the Soundboost but no sound, I have used a cable connection on speaker that works ok

@bazatcoda2 Is the BT speaker showing as the default under your windows 7 sound settings?

Hi thanks for that I have checked and it was not the default so I tried it on BT hands free audio, but no good I then tried it on BT hands free Renderer which did work but really distorted and breaking up at any volume

Right click on the bt speaker in settings as shown ab ok ve from @ndalby and set it for default, it should then work with sound through the speaker

I have right clicked in BT speakers also Dell speaker on settings, sadly I am a bit of a tech dunce so not sure
where i am at.
I did try what ndalby had suggested the outcome was as below -
