No Ads from Anker for the iPhone SE Chargers!

Apple released the new iPhone SE, A new 4.7-inch iPhone that looks like the iPhone 8 but has the internals of the iPhone 11.

This new iPhone supports fast charging, which means it can be charged to 50 percent battery life in just 30 minutes. Fast charging requires a USB-C power adapter that offers at least 18 watts, which includes 30W adapters from Apple (opportunities for Anker and other companies making chargers)

The USB-C power adapter and USB-C to Lightning cable needed for fast charging must be purchased separately because Apple decided it will ship iPhone SE with a standard 5W power adapter and USB-A to Lightning cable (meh!!)

iPhone SE also support 5W or 7.5W Qi-based wireless charging accessory. (Another Ad opportunity for Anker)

Bit surprised, Anker did not have any Ads ( targeted emails and social media ads) targeting this already with a Charger and USB-C to Lightning Cable or with a Wireless charging !

@Ankerofficial for your attention

Not sure what you mean by no ads…

So much of Anker’s advertising (including product listings/descriptions) is aimed at Apple products, it’s kind of ridiculous. I’m not saying it’s a bad idea, maybe it’s helping their sales, but I’m sure Android users grow very tired of just hearing about Apple all the time.

Heck, I just search iPhone fast charger on Amazon and look what pops up:

I’m tired of Anker’s bias toward Apple, but that’s just my two cents.

I meant by targeted emails and social media ads for Fast Chargers for Apple iPhone SE…

Remember in the past, Anker has done it… May be last year or so.

Anker is biased towards Apple, may be because major chunk of their users in US, may be Apple product users (may be)

I think most users (regulars) here are iPhone users. We need a poll lol

USA is the single biggest market. Apple has about half the USA market.

Globally it’s a different number.

Anker has a bias for USA and for Apple as it’s simply following the fools with money.

Go ahead and make one! I think it’s been awhile since we’ve had a similar thread. I would be surprised if it’s over 50% iPhone.

I would be surprised if it’s significantly less than 50%. Globally Apple only 20% market share, so if this were a globally representative community, you’d expect 20%.

But in USA it’s higher about 50%

But as Anker in their giveaways have a USA bias, and as this is an English language forum, I’d expect USA members active in this community to be bigger than the USA is a share globally. China is biggest followed by India.

But the point of giveaways or Ads at iphone launch, USA is also dominated by paying one of the highest monthly cellular costs globally which is masked by getting subsidised purchase price of a network locked cellphone. So an iphone appears relatively lower cost in USA.

That lowers the apparent cost of the iphone and is the primary reason it is more popular in USA than globally, as it’s a pretty meh product objectively.

The new iPhone SE is a good pleasant surprise of lower cost and smaller as phones been getting way too big and expensive given the alternatives work out lower cost.

True, I believe worldwide they majority are using Android since Samsung oversaturates the market with a bunch of lower and mid-range phones

I use an iPhone XR.

It isn’t Samsung who is causing Android to be 80% market, it’s all of them, Huawei, Xiaomi, Oneplus, Moto, ZTE, Vivo, HTC, etc.

Plus the Android market has far more innovation and so diversity of products than Apple. e.g. folding phones, which Apple then wait for others to prove out then come out a few years later.

I agree the market is oversaturated, a phone of 2-3 years ago is good enough, there’s plenty of other areas need innovation attention. If you do buy a $400 smaller iPhone then invest $ in other areas which can extend the usefulness of finite spend.

TIL…
I always thought Samsung was the culprit since they have a bunch of different phones aimed at specific countries.
I was tempted to give the OnePlus 8 pro a try but TMobile won’t sell it

I have made a number of errors in my gadget decisions, but two stand out as good ones.

I got this in the end for $99 but can’t find that order but similar:

A decent phone for $99, with replaceable battery, SD card, nice small screen.

A decent 8.4" tablet with LTE and SD card slot.

So Android has been in the space of small phones but it’s lost the plot with ridiculous large phones, when tablets are even better but can’t do what phones do of being 1-handed pocketable.

Apple will gain market share going down in size and cost and let the bigger screen stuff to go iPad.

I have owned, LG, HTC, Moto, OnePlus, Huawei, Samsung. Right now the decision to have a well supported 4.7" $400 is such an intelligent decision it may be the thing Apple did to get me to buy. When my 2 year old OnePlus dies as OnePlus is just silly big expensive phone.
