Night vision?

Just purchased original Eufycam 2 cam kit from Home Depot. Hung 2 for coverage in my backyard. This afternoon the video was fine. Then after dark checked and just gray screens with a hit of shadow detail. Not close to my Ring Floodlight cam night vision . If this is what I can expect I’ll just stick with Ring.

Did you check all the settings?

Had no issues with night vision / mode on my EufyCam E setup, are the IR sensors clean on the front of the cameras?

Sensors are clean and settings are fine. Daytime video is fine but night is why you buy a security system. If not drastically improved I’ll return to HD and buy more Ring floodlights or spotlight cams. I really liked the Eufy system I may keep and just use as in home cams.

I think the issue is the bushes are messing with the night visions because its so bright which tends to bloom the sensors. You should try to pivot the camera higher to avoid teh bushes, or trim the branches so they dont interfere

The top example/bushes… is my Ring that I’m completely happy with but yes to needing to trim more… lol. It’s the bottom example …is the Eufycam just a complete wash out at night but great during the day. Ring is great both day and night.

I guess what does it look like during th eday? as its a bit hard to understand what its supposed to look like/

Completely missed the bottom one was you’re EufyCam and the top was another example :man_facepalming: (thought you were showing both EufyCams)…I would say it’s a hardware fault relating to the night vision as even with something close in the foreground I wouldn’t expect that level of cloudiness (I take it it wasn’t foggy)

This is an example of my EufyCam E covering the rear garden in darkness, length is around 20ft…

Wow! Now that’s what I expected. Calling CS today.

Is there any lighting in the pic or is that night vision in complete darkness? Thank you for the reply very helpful.

@AnkerTechnical can you help me with the lack of night vision in my originally eufycam cameras?

Not pitch black darkness but dark, also there was no ambient light assisting such as neighbours windows, street lights, full moon etc.

Will add a comparison photo tonight taken from my phone. In the meantime I would suggest logging a call with CS on support@eufylife.com or try the live chat service

I guess either your settings are messed or got a faulty camera. Support should take care of your issues.

@Clay_Freeman1 the following was taken with my iPhone 7 (minus flash) from the window next to my EufyCam E…only difference is that the Christmas window lights from downstairs are on this time, which is probably a good thing so you can see something…

I bet you turned your cam in more upper position to avoid reflecting of the bush. Now the infrared light is reflecting from any little canopy above the cam. Is that right? Turn the cam in more lower position or shorten the canopy and the problem should be solved.
