Hello Eufy!
For your next robot vacuum you should have a Lidar on the top for navigation. Recharge and resume. Front mounted camera for obstacle avoidance (AI). Automatic dirt emptying. This would be an amazing Robot Vacuum!!

Hi @jls4wheeler, eufy already has a robotic vacuum with most of the features you mentioned. Take a look at RoboVac L70 Hybrid!
Yes but… no automatic dirt emptying or AI obstacle avoidance.
Hmm?
I know there are some robots on the market who do such an automatic dirt emptying.
But this would need to create a total different concept and this means more error sources.
Not only hard- and software,
By the way, I empty “old Willy’s” (11S) container after two days of work.
This includes a check of the sensors, brushes and filters.
And there is a always a need to do this checks
This can not be done automatically!
100% agree with @Chiquinho the 11s Duchess is awesome at work with very little “Artificial” intelligence which is not required for the type of work. A little common sense that we can use to place obstacles to avoid areas is working for now. May be, I will be tired after few years of doing this, but good for now.
Auto-emptying dust collector is nice to have but you loose the opportunity to check if the brushes are struck with hair or wheels got debris etc every 2 to 3 days and that’s when I do a quick maintenance and empty my robovac’s dust collector too.
And do not forget.
Duchess is a lady and need a lot of care!
I think the automatic emptying system would be a huge game changer. It’s great having a mop etc. but vacuuming and emptying itself makes it a lot easier for the owner as they only have to check it once a week or more instead of after every vacuum session!
What would they empty into? A large container in the charging base?
Hey @jls4wheeler interesting post.
I’m another 11s owner, Mary is her name.
It’s a dumb vacuum, but sometimes dumb is a wise choice.
Yes something like iRobot does.
Since we have “Willy”, “Duchess”, “Mary” here, thought to give a shout-out from “Astroboy” aka eufy Robovac 25C, and he conveys a “Hi” to all his family members here (Robovacs)
Quite an interesting post, indeed!
As long as Robovacs do thier work, I am fine if they are Smart or not, Astroboy has been doing a great job
May be sometime in future, Astroboy could get a partner in L70
Big-ups to Astroboy, welcome to the party
