[New Release] Rave | Soundcore's Most Premium Party Speaker is Now Available!

Canada too? Any chance of being able to purchase this at all?

@AnkerOfficial @AnkerTechnical Anker should also plan / try to partner with Costco such premium products, there is this yearly rewards coupon for customers, which many buy the items directly from and mostly during holiday seasonā€¦ would love to see this Anker products there

Great idea. Iā€™d take advantage of this if they were to come to Costco/Samā€™s club

Hi @epic219, Rave is actually already available!

In Walmart stores only (no delivery option)

Would like to see a review of this speaker here, written by one of our specialists for testing.

Awesome, glad to hear! How much better does Rave sound than Rave mini?

Write a review asap please.
May be you can compare it with other bt-speakers.
SOUND!!!, not only volume.

First time poster here. I made an account specifically to comment on the Rave (full-size, not mini).

I donā€™t like it. I really, really wanted to like it. I have it paired to a BT 5.0 source (Pixel 2), and no matter what I try, the high end sounds crunchy and distorted: all the drums sound like they were recorded with one of those cheap toy sets. Initially, I assumed it was the stream quality, so I adjusted that. No luck. I switched to MP3s on my phone. Still crunchy. I adjusted the EQ. Still. Crunchy.
I unpair it, power cycle both, and re-pair. No change.
Installed the app and changed EQ settings (outdoor/indoor are the only options). They sounded different, but no increase in quality.
I run an aux cable into the back and play uncompressed FLAC files. The sound got slightly better (cymbals were discernable from one another), but this still sounded terrible.
I unpaired again and connected it to my iPad Pro 2018 with a cable, and then with Bluetooth. Same result.
I got my laptop and ran a line out (no amplifier) into the back of the Rave. No improvement.

The construction is top notch. The volume wheel and buttons are well designed (smooth, endless scroll and clicky, responsive buttons), and the whole thing is deceptively light. The light show is neat (not really my thing, but my kids thought it was cool). The battery life is impressive, and charge time was great. I really, really wanted to love this device, but it sounds awful. Iā€™ll be returning mine tomorrow.

Seems you got a faulty speaker.
I suppose you run the speaker at a normal volume,
so this distortions should not happen.

Yep. Distortion kicks in around 25%, though the high and mids are drastically attenuated below 25%.

Bass sounds good the whole way through at least

This is a faulty speaker.
Send this back.

Iā€™m with @Chiquinho it does from your description and troubleshooting steps taken, sound like a duff speaker (driver membrane perforation or fault possibly).

I would recommend either returning to place of purchase for replacement/refund or logging with support@anker.com, whichever would be quickest for you.

If possible add a video.
Always better than 1000 words.

Brought it back to Walmart for an exchange, but they didnā€™t have any more. They get more in on the 18th, so Iā€™ll pick up another at that time and provide updates.

Bit pricey but feels like this is going to worth the money. Canā€™t beat Anker with battery life. 24+ hour of music playing is awesome.
