[New Release] iPhone LED Flash is Now Available!

Interesting find @Insider though it does have me thinking, why, on a number of levels…limiting to an ageing and likely to be replaced connector standard is just one of them

Hey @Shenoy great idea.
Or maybe taking it a step further, ditch BT and go WiFi.

I would say BT should work ok without causing delay issues.
IR is a common way to connect an external flash and a DLSR.
Bluetooth would give the benefit of being able to connect multiple devices at the same time?
But WiFi would be better surely

Any iPhone users here plan on buying this item once it releases?

Not for $50 lol

Not a fan of flash photography… Will pass it in current setup of cable.

Best photos come in natural light unless it is some professional photoshoot…

Yea $50 seems quite high for some flash

Best is using a real SLR camera, but who likes to carry around it.

No @ikari04warrior
It’s now convenient enough for me as it’s wired.

I’m now looking at selling my DSLR for that reason.
It’s a great camera with fantastic results, but a big brick to be carrying around.

Will it clip to the phone or do you have to hold it while trying to take a photo with one hand? That’s not always easy.

Hope you will not regret.
I understand you, as I gave up carrying around my DSLR CANON in vacations.
But at home its fantastic.
(The objective I use is more expensive than the body )

If/when I sell I will regret it.
It’s an awesome camera.
This year I used it 3-4 times.
The mobile phone is not good quality but it’s convenient.
Maybe in my “later years” I’ll start the hobby again.

Keep it!
You will always lose money when selling an buying new.
May be Charlie will be proud of this camera, after handed over, when ALL his comrades are using their simple phone cameras.
Even they use that “flash”

About 3 years back, I saw a lot of people carry their Nikon and Canon SLR / DSLR around… But not so much anymore… Everyone has iPhone or smartphones ( including me) for all the photos

Convenience always wins.
They say the best camera you have is the one you have with you!

I understand you all.
You are right of course
But let me be an old styled Neanderthaler!
I will not change so easy!

Anker should really consider a zoom lens for iPhones.

Well there’s this…

It is for iPhones or android.

It has 2 lazy arms and a clip for securing to ledges etc. Could get 3 of these to that from Anker.
