A light just proves there is power to the light. Doesn’t mean you’ve got the correct charging protocol, watts, doesn’t detect a bad cable, etc. Gimmick. Hopefully Anker stops using them on all their chargers.

Yeah that’s the only down side to it

At first I thought it was kinda cool for your charger to have a light. But as I started having more chargers or electronics in the bedroom, all those light have become annoying.
I have a smart plug and it has an LED light but I was able to disable it through the app
