I never took my exams at school, but I did pass every test. I had a choice of starting a carer or taking exams… I started a carer instead!

Many years later I went to college n got a C in English n maths GCSE. … Bearing in mind I was over 30 when I took them!

My tip …

Relax, relax, relax.

You know all you’re going to know already. Don’t try ramming your head now revising. You’ll end up revising the wrong bits or something just as daft.

Relax, you know it already. A clear calm mind works better, than a stressed mind.

Each day, EAT BREAKFAST, but don’t eat a big lunch for afternoon exams (it’ll make you tired).

Drink plenty, and go pee as often as you can.

Oh, did I say… Relax :sunglasses:

My exams are sooooo far away now.
Best was to stop preparing for those one day before.
The last night before you should relax only!
Go for a beer and take it easy.
That is the best!

Well I haven’t taken a GCSE but when I had SAT to take, I would study on and off a month before test and everyday a week before. Makes it easy to remember some important stuff. Also have a good night’s sleep the night before exam and relax when the exam is being passed out (? not sure how these work :joy:); basically close your eyes for about half a minute and you should feel something run up/down your spine.

Everything else is covered by others so good luck!!

Welcome to the club

I got them as well. Hope you do well dude! :facepunch:

Make sure that your body is in the same state it was when you studied. For example, if you drink one cup of coffee per day to study…drink only one on the day you take the exam. If you regularly eat or don’t eat before studying, do the same thing when you take the exam. The main thing is that your body and mind should be in the same state they were in when you learned the info. Many people will drink extra coffee, eat more, or do something else that is out of the ordinary for them. This messes up your recall, so try to be as normal as possible on the day of the exam.
