Mixing Anker Solar Panels Question

Hello Experts!

Looking for some guidance on Anker Solar Panel configuration without damaging the panel(s). Here’s the background:

  1. If I have 2 x 200W Anker Solar Panels and 1 x 400W solar panel, can those be run in parallel with the F3800? I think I saw there are two solar inputs. Would you want to keep the 2 x 200W running in parallel into one input and then the 400W into the 2nd input?

  2. With the C1000, this is only one solar input and the max solar input is 600W. Can the 400W and 200W Anker panels but configured in parallel to achieve the 600W input max? (Yes, I know it’s the theoretical max).

Thanks!

@Larry_Yang The Anker Solix Solar Panel PS200 is 48V Operating Voltage & 4.17 Amps.
The PS400 is 48V Operating Voltage & 8.33 Amps.

For the C1000 Power Station, the 2 panels cannot be run in Series to it because of the rule, “Panels in Series add Voltage”, so that is 96V into the C1000, but the C1000 can only accept 60V max.

For the C1000 Power Station, the 2 panels can be run in Parallel to it because of the rule, “Panels in Parallel add Current”, so that is 12.5 Amps (8.33+4.17) into the C1000, which has a limit of 12.5 Amps. The system would see 48V 12.5Amps.

Unfortunately, Anker doesn’t sell an MC4 Y Parallel Branch Adapter Cable to connect 2 Anker Panels in Parallel, but that can be easily purchased elsewhere. Most adapters are rated 20 Amps and above which can handle the load & heat.

Rya4, about the connection… Why don’t you use Xt60 cable which came with the unit?
3x Xt60 in parallel?

An other question, as you obviously have ps400 panel… What has been the max watt amount you’ve seen?
