Mars II Widevine L1 Certification?

I picked up a Mars II last week and I’ve been pretty happy with it so far, but the streaming situation with a lot of the apps is not good.

Is there any chance that Widevine L1 certification could be added in the future? Are there any workarounds aside from plugging in a streaming device and just not using the onboard apps at all? Netflix, etc. are pretty much unusable as it stands.

Hi There,

Thanks for your inquiry and I appreciate your support.

But I’m so sorry that at this moment, we are unable to provide you an estimated plan on it. Copyrighted content is not supported to mirror or cast. And you will need to use HDMI connection or install the apps directly on the Nebula.

We currently have better firmware that could unlock the device with GPS. Please just contact our support team at support@seenebula.com for more assistance. Thank you!

Thanks for the response.

To be clear, I’m not talking about mirroring or casting from another device. I’m talking about the inability to stream Netflix, etc. at HD resolutions.

I enabled the GPS beta today and it didn’t seem to make a difference. Netflix streams still maxed out at 480p. I was just wondering if there were any plans to enable the DRM on the Mars II that would allow for HD streams.
