I wonder if the chargers from the fusion series work for security camera backups

Do you mean eufycam? they can be charged from any powerbank, of course it takes more time using a low power output.

No not eufycam. Mainly referring to wyze cams.

I’m talking about a backup. I want them to normally just take the proper power draw, but if they power goes out I want them to continue getting power.

But they are not like eufycam. Wyzecam is always on and draws lot of power. Somebody even tried 26800+ and didn’t last more than a day .
So, yes for few minutes to couple hours may be, not a bad idea.

From what I remember they don’t turn on quick enough like a backup UPS would.

I’ve got a couple of Wyze cams and the research I found was that you might get a day or two out of it.

I can’t remember how much power it needs to operate. I wonder if any the 20,000+ chargers might work as well. If I can figure it out and it won’t damage my stuff I might test it

The problem is they don’t have pass through charging.

Yeah. But not allowing pass through charging could help extend the life of the battery.

what where you thinking? Plug the battery pack into the camera, then plug the powercore into a wall charger.

For me I wanted to put a couple of cameras out in the old tractor barns where we park the cars and the tractor. Its just a carport without power and to far to run extension cords from the house to the barn.

You might want to explore the solar panel options for that and charge the batteries so you can have lights and cameras run.

I don’t think you guys understand at all.

I want a battery backup for if the power goes out.

The fusion is a Charger, and a battery. So it will regularly provide power to my cameras, but if the power goes out then the battery will kick in and keep recording for a few extra hours.

At least this is my hope

I figured that’s what you wanted. There are couple of competitor brands that offer pass through but I dont know the quality
