Hello guys, first timer here. I just got the wired Eufy video camera, followed every step of the instructions and installed it. Was able to update it, check the camera an everything and out of the blue, like 20 mins into it, ot just lost power. I went to the furnace room and smelled burned, turned the breaker off and checked the transformer, it was burning hot. Contacted eufy and they told me it was the transformer, bought a new 16v 30VAC, installed it and absolutely nothing. No power. My old dumb doorbell won’t even work. I checked the wiring 3 times and everything looks ok. Don’t have a voltmeter to see if there’s any power anywhere but obviously there isn’t. What could be going on? I’ve been online all day and can’t find any answers. This is extremely frustrating. I put everything back together, removed the little wire to bridge the chime and my old bell doesn’t even work. Please any help would be greatly appreciated
Lost power to doorbell
The transformer could be defective, though its a new one.
You need to check that transformer only.

@Christian_Giese Your transformer is toast get another I have 2 2k wired doorbells and installed new transformer at same time! Now after 3 months it went out and had to replace with a higher voltage one 24V -40VA works perfect sense hope this helps and that transformer looks old… 
Yup, it was the transformer!!! Brand new and was defective. Replaced it again and all good!!! Thanks so much!!! Problem solved
