I am looking for a hub with USB 3 A to USB 3.1 C ports. I will be purchasing an Apple iPad in the near future. But it will only come with a cable. I would rather have a USB 3.1 c hub fed by USB 3.0

Hi Chrissy. I can try and answer this in 2 ways. The easy answer is you will probably never find a USB-A 3.0 to USB-C 3.1 hub and even if you did I would nit believe it could do this.
The long answer is due to technology and limitations. 3.0 and 3.1 are based on data speeds and advancements. 3.1 is newer and much faster than 3.0. If your hub connected to a pc through USB-C, you could downgrade the speed and make a hub out of USB-A plugs. You would not be able to speed up a USB-A system to 3.1 because it would act more like a choke.
Think of the old analogy of a water pipe going from 2 inches to 1 inch and how the water speed gets hung up at this point. Your best bet would be to have a USB-A 3.0 hub that has USB-C connections that act more like 3.0 speeds, but you would never get 3.1 speeds in that instance.
