Life Q30 - switching to ANC bug

I have realized that the Q30’s have a bug in them:

When switching from normal (or transparency) to noise cancelling (NC) the NC is weak and doesn’t block as much sound as it should, there is also a slight hiss.

To get the NC to work properly I have to switch the NC mode to transport or outdoor and back again to indoor (I usually use indoor). Only then will the NC work properly, it is noticeably silent then. I have tested this with a reference noise and its definitely a bug.

It is very annoying to do this each time, and is sort of ruining an otherwise great product for me. It seems like a simple software fix. Anker can you please look into this??

I have already reset the headphones and it did not fix it. (I also mute all audio on my phone, nothing is playing).
